Talia Boshari

Talia brings extensive experience in local authority Public Health, commissioning, and children’s health.Talia trained in microbiology at McGill University before completing her MPH at Imperial College London. After her degree, Talia joined the public health team at the London Borough of Southwark, where she developed expertise in policy, commissioning, and managing relationships across the public health system. Talia led the delivery of the children’s health and sexual & reproductive health portfolios. She has led the design and management of multiple service contracts and represented the team’s interests in strategic and financial decisions. Talia is currently a specialty registrar based at the UK Health Security Agency and is also a teaching fellow at Imperial’s School of Public Health.

Richard Pinder

PartnerRichard brings deep experience in health services and Public Health, having spent the last seven years as a consultant in Public Health Medicine working across local government in London and academia.
Richard trained as a doctor at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine before completing an NIHR funded fellowship in Public Health. He has board-level experience in government, NHS, and corporates, having spent three years in global pharmaceutical consulting. His current substantive role is as a senior clinical academic at Imperial College London and he holds honorary consultant posts at two of London’s largest NHS teaching hospital trusts. Richard was awarded the Faculty of Public Health’s President’s Medal for outstanding service to Public Health in 2021.
Richard’s specialist areas are in population health management, health system design and public mental health.

Carolyn Sharpe

Carolyn brings more than a decade of professional experience in front-line Public Health practice and private consulting, undertaking a breadth of roles across local government, NHS provider organisations and corporates.She graduated with a Masters in Chemistry from Imperial College London before completing three years in commercial consulting. She completed her MPH at Imperial College London before moving to the London Borough of Southwark where she led on substance misuse and mental health. Carolyn is a Consultant in Public Health at a London local authority and a teaching fellow in the School of Public Health at Imperial College London.
Carolyn’s specialist areas are in strategy, children’s and young people’s health and health protection.

Katharine Collet

Katharine brings a wealth of experience translating public health theory into practice both in the UK and abroad.She graduated with a Masters in Public Health from Boston University. After her degree, she worked in public health policy, research, and practice, as well as in a number of world-leading academic institutions developing public health curricula. In addition to working with the Ethica team, she leads the implementation science workstream of a NIHR Biomedical Research Centre project to improve psychosis care by linking patient data with guidelines, clinical practice, and patient and carer experiences.
Katharine’s specialist areas include systems strengthening, patient and public involvement and engagement, strategic planning, mixed methods research, and evaluation (with a focus on qualitative methods).

Iona Claron

Analyst
Iona brings experience in public mental health along with experience in health advocacy.Iona graduated from the Master of Public Health at Imperial College London where she focused on mental well-being of looked-after children and young people in the United Kingdom. Prior to her MPH, Iona completed her BSc of Medical Biosciences (also at Imperial College London). Throughout her undergraduate degree, she developed her interest in Public Health. Before joining Ethica, Iona worked for the International Society of Nephrology in the advocacy team. This gave her the chance to gain professional experience and explore the advocacy world within a global association.
Iona’s specialist areas are in children’s health and applied epidemiology.

Alexander Flint

Analyst
Alex brings a strong background in health behaviours and infectious diseases epidemiology.Alex graduated from the Master of Public Health at Imperial College London he focused on sexual health and health inequalities in east London. Prior to his MPH, Alex completed his BSc in biomedical sciences with a specialisation in infectious diseases. Alex combines his work at Ethica with his PhD in infectious diseases epidemiology at Imperial College London and the UK Health Security Agency.
Alex’s specialist areas are in tobacco control, health behaviour and infectious diseases.
