Our recent projects
Women’s and girls’ health
Faced with a challenging timeline to deliver the system-level response to England’s national Women’s Health Strategy, the South East London NHS Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) charged us with identifying opportunities for a networked hub model of care that would address historically under-serviced components of women and girls’ health.
Within ten weeks, we engaged with Acute Provider Collaboratives, population health partners and local primary care networks to establish a clear basis for change. Alongside this we provided modelled epidemiological estimates of disease burden, triangulating the evidence from a wide range of local data and intelligence resources.
Smoking and vaping
A Local Government partner invited us to undertake a health needs assessment of smoking, amid conflicting epidemiology and evidence that presented very different pictures of their journey towards a “SmokeFree” future.
Working closely with a range of health partners and Public Health commissioned services, we undertook a comprehensive review of the data and stakeholder perspectives. Collaborating with young people in the borough, we worked hard to establish a consensus of local vaping trends and presented recommendations for change.
Knowledge management and learning
NHS England commissioned Ethica to consolidate its online learning offer, necessitating a review of hundreds of existing online learning packages.
Within four weeks, we delivered a specialist-led audit, categorisation and identification of all population health topics - enabling partners from around the UK to more easily access the huge library of learning materials that had been developed.
